Jeremiah's Revenge
(mocks Barack Obama with music - a waltz)

As you know, other than our monthly meetings, LARA has been building a significant Conservative Network here in L.A. County along with a far-reaching web presence for the sole purpose of discrediting the Left and delivering positive and patriotic messages. As we celebrate our 4th anniversary we are forging ahead in a new and broader direction.... and now need your minimal finacial support to keep our servers and information flowing.

LARA’s Network consists of a 20,000-member email list, our websites, blogs, social networks and a video production company all geared toward delivering these messages to like-minded individuals such as yourself. Our YouTube Network, for example, consists of 28 different user channels with over 200 videos and has amassed over 700,000 views. A new LARA venture, PopModal.com, the “conservative alternative” to the Leftist owned YouTube is due to be launched on September 11, 2008. We also have a Facebook account that after just two months has connected with over 171 friends from all over America.

Last July LARA hit a milestone with its 48th consecutive monthly newsletter, "The Republican Generator," which is chock-full of information such as political commentary, links to LARA member videos, proprietary political cartoons and various LA County events, specifically LARA's monthly conference on Conservative issues.

We have reached tens of thousands of American Citizens providing logical, rational and divinely inspired Conservative messages all independent of, but in support of, the Republican Party.  LARA supports its platform of faith, family, country, free market capitalism and a strong military capable of defending freedom all over the globe.

Our job, as characterized by our Mission Statement, is to marshal the talents and abilities of local entertainment oriented Republicans to develop video, music and film productions that deliver a conservative message. So far we have produced several documentaries and have plans for many more including a tribute to President George W. Bush and an indictment of the moral breakdown of our society exemplified by the Left as expressed by the Virginia Tech slaughter and Alec Baldwin's acrimonious voicemail to his daughter.

The internet has been our main staging ground since we started in May of 2004. I could list all of our accomplishments, most notably PopUpUSA, the Save The LA County Seal Campaign and the RiseUpAmerica Economic Liberty Plan, but I don’t have enough room on this page to do so.  I would be remiss if I did not mention PopModal.com our new flagship video distribution web community based in Los Angeles. Its proximity to Hollywood is going to be key to its success.

We are gearing up to produce videos and distribute new content for the intense campaign we expect to develop after the conventions. We are looking to LARA’s base to help us fund these efforts.  We believe our work will be instrumental in convincing independents to vote for Republicans.

Thank you in advance for your participation in bringing common sense back to Los Angeles and California, I am

Sincerly Yours,

A History of Liberal Disasters

By Jeffrey Lord

It's a long list.

Add Hillary Clinton's endorsement of driver's licenses for illegal immigrants ("it makes sense") to a very long list.

The list? A seemingly unending series of bad policy proposals and loopy values that liberals have championed during the course of decades. What all of these subjects have in common is that they upended common sense in favor of a fit of moral superiority and emotional feel-goodism. They are a history of liberal disasters. All backfired or were proved dead wrong. Sometimes they were outright lethal. Collectively they are part and parcel of the real reason the once honorable term "liberal" has won such disdain from so many Americans when it isn't being hooted out of a serious policy discussion with laughter. And lying just under the surface of all the current crop of polls that predict a Democrat victory in the race for the White House is the lurking reality that any candidate who makes a point of flying the liberal flag stands a serious chance of being defeated outright. Why, after all, do you think Senator Clinton hemmed and hawed her way through the driver's license issue in last week's debate?

Here's just a handful of my personal favorites:

* Forced School Busing - The idea: to raise the education level of blacks by forcibly integrating urban schools with white kids who lived in "segregated" neighborhoods. The result?

* Welfare - The idea: The Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) was established in 1935 with the objective to provide welfare relief for needy families and their children. The result?

* Luxury Tax - The idea: Pushed by liberals in a 1990 tax bill, the idea was to tax big-ticket luxury items and increase government revenue. The result?

* Alternative Minimum Tax - The idea: Enacted in 1969, the AMT was to disallow deductions and exemptions in computing tax liability. Why?

* Bringing Peace to Vietnam and Cambodia - The idea: Withdrawing from Southeast Asia completely in 1975 would bring "peace" to the people of Vietnam and Cambodia. The result?

* Free Love - The idea: If it feels good, went this old idea that was dusted off at the end of the 1960's do it. Promiscuity? No problem. Result?

* Drugs - The idea: Turn on and drop out. Glamorized by the media, hey man, this was supposed to be great stuff! Let's party! The result:

Here are 22 ways to be a great Democrat.

1. You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on demand.

2. You have to believe that businesses create depressions and governments create prosperity.

3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than Nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Iranians and North Korean communists.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUV's.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual
is natural.

8. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach fourth graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about  nature, but loony activists who have never been outside of San Francisco or Portland do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe that Mel Gibson spent $25 million of his own money to make "The Passion of the Christ" for financial gain only.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts
of the Constitution.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very nice person.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been In charge.

18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying transvestites in drag and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democrat Party funding by the Chinese Government is somehow in the best interest to the United States.

21. You have to believe that this message is a part of a vast, right wing conspiracy.

22. You have to believe that it's Okay to give Federal workers the day off on Christmas Day but it's not Okay to say "Merry Christmas."

The Politics of Fear

Where in the course of human history has the collective human existence not used fear to create a better society? The Liberal concepts of Global Warming uses a false premise that declares that the debris of man is absolutely causing the spots on the sun, which in turn is creating the warming of the earth, while ignoring the fact the debris is a residue of fossil fuel that is firing the engines of human existence. What’s more, the Right is just now realizing that the dollars we spend on fossil fuel is funding the most destructive enemy on earth. The same enemy who has testified to use another great source of energy that will cause a more ominous cold spell – the nuclear winter.

When is this going to stop? I know – when the Right joins the Left to ask nicely for the Islamo Fascist to put down their guns and join the 21st Century. NOT… The only way the socialist faction of Democratic Party has a chance of winning in the ’08 Election is by creating an equally terrifying and catastrophic fantasy of Global Warming to stir the outrage of their constituents, thus emotionally guilting them into contributing tons of cash to their dark cause: bring down the west in order to create a more perfect utopia.

So in essence this is a battle between Socialism and Free Market Capitalism, the difference between a godless ideology and a system dependant on family, faith and patriotism.

Unfortunately the Socialists are winning. They keep our county polarized and off balance by incrementally taking over our media and schools. They fight to maintain our self-destructive entitlement programs and encourage their expansion by herding in the Mexican invasion and keeping our schools poor. They develop anti-war movements all over the world, consciously siding with the enemy of the Free-Market West, encouraging appeasement and waiting for the aftermath of chaos. Once their puppets are firmly in positions of power and in control of the world’s strongest military they will execute a sinister plot to wipe out the one last evil religion: Islam.

As idealist and the protectors of the U.S. Constitution we Conservatives just want to be left alone so we can produce and enjoy our families. But we are too successful and our treasure is the lure of the scum of the earth. I call them “Looters” and the modern Socialists have fine-tuned the art of looting by effectively transferring the power and the wealth from the people to the government they control.

So how do we fight this insidious enemy? Just relying on truth, reason and faith is no longer enough. One technique may be to disarm them by hijacking the Global Warming issue. If Islam gets control of a nuclear bomb then you can bet there will be Global Warming much sooner that the Socialist anticipate. And as we all know the only thing Islam produces beside terror is oil which we cannot live without and which we pay dearly for. So in essence we are funding our demise.

If we were to join the Democrats with their Global Warming issue and declare our independence from foreign sources of energy then we can cut of the funds to Islam. With this plan we achieve several things. First we achieve less carbon output by developing alternative sources of energy. Second we marginalize Islam and their well funded quest to convert the world to Islam. And finally by forcing a reformation of their religion we have taken away the only tools the Socialists have creating a wedge between the West and the Muslim civilization.

Here is a fact you will never see in the socialist controlled media: If Islam laid down their arms the world would live in peace. I bet you didn’t know that 95% of all wars on Earth are due to the unwillingness of Islam to assimilate into the societies that lets them in. They are the aggressors and the resistors to classic liberalism.

The surest way to facilitate the reformation of Islam is to reduce the use and cut our dependency of fossil fuel hence reducing Global Warming. This is where an unlikely Alliance of the Left and the Right can achieve the end to both Global Warming and Global Terrorism. - Jeffers M. Dodge April 7, 2007

What are the real differences between Republicans and Democrats?

What does each Party stand for?

Political Party affiliation is a quick way to find out the basic ideas and philosophy for each candidate, both Republicans and Democrats. Political affiliation can be used to understand the core beliefs of each candidate and there are significant differences between them.

Core Beliefs

Republicans believe that each person is responsible for his or her own place in society.  Government should enable each person the ability to secure the benefits of society for themselves, their families and for those who are unable to care for themselves. The Republican philosophy is based on limiting the intervention of government as a catalyst of individual prosperity. Government should only intervene in specific cases where society cannot effectively act at the individual level. With the core belief that individual destiny should be in the individual’s hands, governmental power and resources should be kept close to the people, through their state and community leaders, and not centralized in distant federal government agencies.

Democrats believe it is the responsibility of government to care for all individuals, even if it means giving up some individual rights and/or subordinating enterprise and initiative. Democrat Party administrations have pushed for the centralization of power in Washington D.C., with only secondary consideration for the rights of both individuals and communities. Democrats have favored federal-level interventions that replace community-based solutions to community problems. These tactics have created several federal regulations and controls that are often in the hands of unelected bureaucrats, causing a severe erosion of local authority.

The Economy

Republicans believe free enterprise has brought economic growth and innovations that have made this country great. Government should help stimulate a business environment where people are free to use their talents.

Democrats believe that the economy is too complicated for individuals to navigate alone. They believe that business decisions should be guided by government officials and in the best interest of labor unions.

Taxes and Government Spending

Republicans work tirelessly to cut government spending and to eliminate government waste. Republicans believe individuals should control both their own and their government’s pocketbook – the people should authorize all tax increases.

Democrats believe that government knows what is best for individuals. They argue that federal bureaucrats better understand the needs of a community than a locally elected council and the federal government should define the tax burden necessary to meet its obligations, because this is too complicated for individuals to understand.

National Defense

Republicans believe in a strong national defense. Republicans know that defending our nation against its enemies must be a fundamental commitment of the federal government and this requires the best-trained, best-equipped and most effective military in the world. With America as the world’s only superpower, Republicans believe that true security comes from the strength of character to act collaboratively, when possible, and alone when necessary.  After the tragedy of 9-11, America must be ready to fight terrorism abroad in order to prevent it at home.

In the past 10 years, Democrats have advocated for scaling down our military and reducing the money spent on military intelligence. Democrats believe that true security comes from negotiations with foreign nations, even if they harbor or have financial ties to terrorist groups.  Democrats believe that we must ask other nations for permission before we act to protect our own security.

Education

Republicans believe all students, regardless of race or socio-economic background, should become proficient in both reading and math.  While it is desirable that children learn more than one language, mastery of the English language will allow our children to be competitive at the university level.  Republicans also believe that schools should be held accountable for student progress through testing, which can be used to identify individual childrens’ needs. These reports, at both the student and school level, should be provided to the parents to ensure accountability.

Democrats believe that tests burden teachers and waste classroom instruction time. They also believe children should be forced to stay in schools that fail to teach the basic skills. Democrats argue that literacy should be left for unions to define rather than local PTAs or other parent groups.

Immigration

Republicans recognize that our nation is enriched by immigrants seeking a better life.  In many cases immigrants have fled violence and oppression searching for peace and freedom.  All suffered and sacrificed but hope for a better future for their children in America.  Republicans agree that the lack of security along our borders has contributed to the flow of narco-trafficking, gang violence, and the yearly forced servitude and slavery of over 50,000 women and children from foreign countries by human smugglers.  While our nation has been enriched by the determination, energy, and diversity of immigrants, Republicans believe that in this nation of laws, immigration policies should be followed and that securing our borders is vital to ensuring the safety of our citizens.

Democrats believe that as the world superpower, it is a fundamental right for the United States to provide unconditional aid and comfort to the citizens of other nations.  Democrats believe in open borders, unconditional amnesty, and that the laws of this nation be curtailed to provide non-emergency assistance and legal forms of identification to foreign nationals.
