******* A LOOK BACK ******* As we begin the New Year with a new series of monthly meetings, it’s amazing to think back over the past seven years to see what we, as a small but effective group, have accomplished. It is also an appropriate time to stop, reflect upon, and thank all of you for your invaluable contribution and support, especially in the Scott Brown Victory. The Los Angeles Conservatives Alliance began in 2003 as a small grassroots political club in Santa Monica, California. Since then we have achieved many things. Here is a short list of some of the most memorable achievements: * We’ve teamed up with national figures, such as Ann Coulter, David Horowitz and Evan Sayet on special projects * Hollywood producers & directors gave us “first-look” screenings of their Conservative documentaries including David Bossie, Stephen K. Bannon and John Ziegler. * We’ve produced many Conservative documentary videos including: The Manifestation, Boomerang, Sealed for Your Protection, The Violent Oppression of Women in Islam, the David Horowitz Freedom Center, and A Tribute to Ron Silver; The Man, The Actor, The Activist . * We produced our own live webcasts of a LACA meeting. * We assisted Dick McDonald in developing the Rise Up America Economic Plan * We’ve campaigned weekly as Pop-Up-USA in Santa Monica during the summers of ‘04 & ‘08 for the Bush/Cheney and McCain/Palin campaigns respectively. * We’ve registered over 950 new Republican voters since 2004 * We've attended and filmed many Tea Party events. Pasadena Tea Party and the Doctors4PatientCare rally featuring my interview with Hugh Hewitt. * We’ve worked with TV producers Joel Surnow and Ned Rice to provide Conservative audiences for their FOX News Channel comedy series Half Hour News Hour * We’ve hosted economic leaders at our TownHall events such as, Richard E. Ralston, the local director of the Ayn Rand Institute. * We’ve been directly involved in the successful campaigns of two Republican women to local school boards in Los Angeles County; Patricia Siever and Tina Park. * Durring the 2006 Mid Terms, Mr. Dodge ran for California State Assembly against Karen Bass, a card-carrying member of the Communist Party and former leader of the California State Assembly. Here he gained invaluable lessons and insights about politics, especially regarding the corruption from special interests in Sacramento and the lengths people will go to maintain their power at the expense of the Republic and/or Party. ******* OUR NETWORK ******* * In 2009 we opened PopModal.com “The Conservative Alternative to YouTube” as a balance to the Hollywood meida bias. We have more than 2,300 members, an inventory of more than 3,000 videos all with a Conservative message, and during 2009 we have received more than 15,000,000 page views. On the 19th and 20th of theis month we received our 2 biggest days with over 80,000 visits. This is a major milestone for PopModal.com. (if you are not a member please sign up HERE it is very simple and you can use an alias if you want.) * We have over 2,000 friends on our Facebook Political Network (please friend us HERE) * We have over 1,000 followers on Twitter (Please follow us HERE) * We have one of the largest Conservative MeetUp.com Groups in the country. (please join our LA Network ) * We have an email list well over 60,000 Republicans and Independents (please have your friends sign up HERE)
******* THE FUTURE ******* As you can see, we’ve done a lot. Now, we’re about to do more. Just in time for crucial 2010 election year. So to kick off our first meeting of 2010, together we are going to try and develop the answer to the following question, “What can I do?” It’s a question heard daily on every radio talk show across the nation. The answer, partly, is, it’s up to us. We know the issues. We see the reckless course this administration has taken, dragging all of us down with it, willing or not. We know the problems and we DO have the answers. At our next meeting, we need to hear YOUR voice, your “answer”. We want a plan, that we, as a group, can actively undertake to either 1) contribute to the defeat of the Democrats in 2010 or 2) effectively help grow the so-called “American Rising”. This will tentatively be called “Our LACA Plan”. Each of us will have the opportunity to “nominate” one idea we should focus on. We will vote and choose the top 2-3 ideas. We will not delay. Our goal is to use our combined energy to make a real difference. (Please make sure your idea is doable for us as a group. For example, write a Conservative Manifesto, or a common sense economic plan, or registration drive etc.). I’ve known many of you who attend these meetings to be highly focused, motivated, creative and actively constructive. I have no doubt that, together, we can unite with a plan of action that will contribute to the success of the inevitable conservative comeback. “Great, but I want to do more.” Okay, for you, here are some further options:
We know the Democrats are desperate because I've heard that their strategy for 2010 is to Blame Bush for the anger that cause their collapse. ******* ITS THE ECONOMY AGAIN ******* No one is stupid this time. The economy is in terrible shape, possibly poised for disaster, considering the unbelievable actions the Democrats have taken. (Are they trying to execute a coup d'état?) LACA, with all of our collective input, intends to start a groundswell movement of aware Americans who will stand together to present, support and grow sound, economic plans. (How often do we hear “we have no plan?”) Yes, we’re small, but never forget, we are effective. We also have reach. We have an email list of 60,000. We have PopModal.com, which reaches millions. Most of all, we have our ideas, enthusiasm and determination. The following issues will be the primary focus on our on-going meetings in the immediate future:
… And how, we, as a group (LACA) can actively contribute to making it happen. This is not a lecture series, this a policy workshop with the purpose to develop “The Dodge Plan to End Poverty in the United States.” Why call it the Dodge Plan? To connect and remind people of what my grandfather originally did for Japan. He developed “The Dodge Line”, which was the economic strategy used to rebuild the Japanese economy after WWII, and to remind those who know of it, the positive effects of this free-market plan. (Please read a summary from book: http://www.h-net.org/reviews/showrev.php?id=3563) Joseph M. Dodge was chosen by both Truman and Eisenhower to develop an economic strategy for Japan and implement it. During the occupation, he worked closely with another distant relative, General Douglas MacArthur, to turn Japan’s economy into a free-market system compatible with America’s in order to retard the encroaching Communist threat. My grandfather also designed and implemented the same economic plan in West Germany, creating, together with Japan, the 2nd and 3rd strongest economies on the planet. We need to resurrect and reintroduce a modified version of this plan to fit today’s economic emergency which has been brought to us compliments of an administration whose members are anything but free market capitalists. Personally, I am not an expert economist. But I do know that the Democrats’ experiment of mixing Marxism with Free-Market Capitalism does not work. Those of us who never signed on to John Maynard Keynes’ economic theory knew from the start that it would not work. However, through the evolution of our great nation, we have taken risks; we've tried a little bit of this and tried a little bit of that to see or prove if an idea would work. Sometimes, it might have seemed to work because of good intentions, but the result always ended up limiting our liberties and freedom. The slogan we are going to adapt is "Smaller Stronger Smarter.™" http://www.bized.co.uk/virtual/economy/ Details of Next Meeting The

otherwise click Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the Capitalistic System was to debauch the currency. . . Lenin was certainly right. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million can diagnose.
